Foam generated in an aeration tank, secondary clarifier, and in an anaerobic digester can be a big problem. Surfactants found in municipal water treatment facilities are most often from slowly biodegradable sources like detergent and food. SIXIN provides a range of environmentally friendly water treatment defoamers that are easy to dose, effective long term, and cost efficient.

Landfill Leachate

Variability in dissolved solids and surfactants in landfill leachate processing poses a difficult foam control challenge. Biological treatment methods can create foam from gas byproduct and a highly efficient and active defoamer must be used to control the foam. SIXIN provides polyether defoamers for this type of application and has a history of meeting the demands of the customer.

General Water Treatment

Many companies that process their own water can have small to medium sized foam issues during treatment. Silicones are highly effective in small doses for processes without membrane filtration, and water based or polyether defoamers are perfect in instances were there is membrane filtration.
