Modified Ross-Miles Foam Cell
SIXIN Modified Ross-Miles Foam Cell
SIXIN has developed their own version of the Ross-Miles test is used to evaluate the foam properties of different surfactants. Our portable machine can be filled with surfactant solution, heated to a preset temperature and flow rate, and then turned on to create a dynamic foam up into the glass column. Defoamer is added when the foam level reaches 300mL (indicated on the side of the glass) and then foam height is recorded as a function of time. You can make a plot like the one below and screen different defoamer products in your liquor to find the best fit! Check out this video of the equipment in action!
The equipment is for sale, made to order, and airplane safe. Please contact a sales rep to discuss adding this to your lab!
