Paints, Inks, and Coatings
Water based coatings
Antifoam is used in a variety of coating formulations including decorative applications, automotive, aerospace, architectural, and marine applications. During the manufacturing process, coatings go through a high-speed dispersion process to mix pigments and fillers. Antifoam is used to control foaming caused by surfactants during high speed shear or when the coating is filled into the can.
Solvent borne coatings
Solvent borne coatings serve many industries that need to dry fast or require unique surface properties. Some solvent borne coatings can be used in equipment paint, floor coatings, and clear coats. It is important to keep surface properties uniform in these coatings and the demand for defoamer is very tricky. The solvent borne coatings have a unique set of properties which can be difficult for traditional defoamers, so SIXIN has developed a line of products which can meet the demands of your formulation.
Water based Inks
Water based printing inks are homogeneous adhesive slurries that consist of binders, pigment, and additives, which can be used to ink paper. Surfactants present in the ink are diluent additives, dispersants, thickeners, biocide, and drying agents. Foam caused by the surfactants is treated with modified silicone and silicone based antifoams.
